BUSH HABITAT

RDL was engaged by Macquarie University ecologist Alexandra Carthey to design and supply a series of biodegradable habitat structures that could be easily implemented after bushfires. The highly cost-effective, flat-packed cardboard units are being tested to see if this is a viable option for short-term shelter for ground-dwelling fauna such as bandicoots, possums, antechinus, bush rats and reptiles.
